Sierra Leone News: Waterloo Crime Officer killed

On Wednesday 17 January 2018, the body of Crime Officer, Superintendent, Ederson Tucker Bockarie, of Waterloo Police Division, was found by the side of the road near Six Mile. Superintendent Tucker was kidnapped on Tuesday 16 January 2017 along Three Mile axis and a day later he was found lying dead.
The Media Spokesperson of the Sierra Leone Police, Superintendent Ibrahim Samura, said, “Superintendent Tucker disappeared on Tuesday 16 January around 17:00”. Superintendent Tucker left his office at Waterloo to go to a nearby shop to drink ataya, where he was with other civilians.”
Samura noted, he did not return to the office neither his home. They received a phone call from the Headman of Six Mile about a corpse lying along a road path in six Mile. He maintained that they met the deceased with severe wounds all over his body and huge amount of blood on the ground. The deceased clothes were torn apart.
Superintendent Samura underscored that the corpse is presently at the Connaught Hospital Mortuary for postmortem and investigations are ongoing with regards to the perpetrators.
