As in life, so too in death…The journalist community and Sierra Leone media is mourning its former president Hon. Frank Kposowa, who lost his life as a result of a gruesome road accident along Mile 91 axis, yesterday 11 January 2018.
The SLAJ President Kelvin Lewis described Kposowa as a great journalist, a very fine person, funny and an entertainer.
“A great loss to the Sierra Leone media” said SLAJ Secretary General, Ahmed Sahid Nasralla.
“Oh my God! My great Buddy! We studied French language and Journalism together in France 30 years ago! What a loss! May his soul rest in peace,” said Joshua Nicol.
“It is shocking, devastating and grinding to my being. I have lost a great friend and brother. But let thy will be done,” said George Khoryama.
“The sudden death of Hon. Frank Kposowa is shell-shocking. He phoned me on Wednesday morning asking some few questions about the SLLP Running Mate, Dr Juldeh Jalloh. I didn’t know that, that was going to be my final conversation with him. I served as Vice President when he was the SLAJ President. A very amiable man. He will be missed by all those who came in contact with him. He was a doyen of journalism. RIP!” said Sorie Fofana.
The late man served the SLPP in Parliament for two consecutive terms. He was first elected in 2007 to representing Constituency 71 in Bo district.
The Party’s PRO, Lawrence Lahai Leema, described him as a ‘dutiful soul’. “Every man is fated. He has caught up with his own fate. Since the cause of the accident is yet unknown to me, I’m on behalf of the SLPP leadership expressing our condolences to the deceased family. Death is a necessary end of man. The hour, time and circumstances knowth to no man” said Leema.
Reports received, indicated that the late man was travelling to Bo when his vehicle was crashed by a speeding government bus from Pujehun that was said to have lost control.
