ISLAMABAD: Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on Wednesday paid his maiden visit to the Air Headquarters after assuming the charge of the office. General Zubair Hayat also visited the office of the Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Zakaullah at the Naval Headquarters.
On his arrival, the CJCSC was received by Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman. A contingent of PAF presented guard of honour. He laid a wreath at the Martyrs Monument to pay homage to the martyrs of PAF. He was introduced to Principal Staff Officers of Pakistan Air Force.
General Zubair and Air Marshal Aman held a meeting for some time and discussed matters of professional interest. The CJCSC lauded PAF’s instrumental role in the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and appreciated the sound professionalism of PAF personnel. He expressed satisfaction on the combat readiness of PAF and the progress made in various ongoing modernisation upgradation programmes.
Meanwhile, General Zubair Hayat on Wednesday visited the office of the CNS at the Naval Headquarters.The dignitary was received by Chief of the Naval Staff. A contingent of Pakistan Navy presented him the guard of honour. The naval chief introduced the visiting dignitary to the Principal Staff Officers at the Naval Headquarters.
Later General Zubair Mahmood Hayat held a meeting with the Chief of Naval Staff in his office which was followed by a comprehensive briefing on Pakistan Navy’s role in regional maritime security situation and operational development in the Indian Ocean region.
Admiral Zakaullah congratulated the CJCSC on his promotion and assuming command of the best forces in the world. He said Pakistan Navy would continue its endeavours to enhance synergy and seamless integration in operational and other inter-services matters under the auspices of worthy chairman.
The naval chief assured full support by Pakistan Navy and hoped that armed forces of Pakistan would progress and maintain their forceful posture under the able command of General Zubair Mahmood Hayat.
The CJCSC expressed his entire satisfaction over operational readiness and strenuous efforts by Pakistan Navy to make maritime defence of the country impregnable. He assured he would work in close coordination with Pakistan armed forces to enhance inter-services cooperation and transform them into potent and well coherent integrated forces of the region.
