PTI evidence enough to declare Nawaz a liar and liable to be disqualified as he is no more ‘Sadiq, Amin’
ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Wednesday said the evidence presented before the apex court today had proved Nawaz Sharif was a liar, so he must be disqualified as he was no more ‘Sadiq and Amin’ and the case had come to a logical end symbolically but the proceedings would continue.
He accused Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif of telling lies to the nation and changing stories for the last seven months to hide property worth billions.Talking to journalists at the residence of PTI Secretary General Jehangir Tareen, Imran claimed that the documents presented to the apex court by the prime minister were different from the speeches he made on the state-run television and his speech on the floor of the National Assembly.
The PTI chief noted that a fantastic development took place today when all of a sudden, the trust deed was submitted in the Supreme Court. He was all praise for the journalists who had unmasked corruption of the Sharifs.
He pointed out that Nawaz Sharif claimed to have purchased the properties in London after selling the Dubai steel mills but how Hasan Nawaz, who was 25 years old, started business worth billions in 2001 before 2005 while the mills was not sold.
PTI chairman questioned how money was arranged while the mills, according to the Sharifs’ documents, was running in losses of 2.6 million dirhams. He alleged property billions of rupees was concealed behind lies. He claimed today the judges had disparaged the letter sent by a Qatari prince.
Imran noted Nawaz claimed in his speech in the National Assembly that they had all documentary proofs of Jeddah mills, but submitted no such proofs and even there was no mention of Qatari prince’s letter. He alleged the ruling PML-N did a drama before the apex court and believed things would become clear on December 6.
Referring to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Imran regretted that despite all documentary proofs, the bureau did not take any action thereon. He added lawyer Naeem Bokhari urged the Supreme Court to initiate proceedings against the NAB.
He said the documents submitted by the Sharif family had tried to prove it incurred losses and asked then how Hassan started business.
Imran wondered if Qatari prince were Hatim Tai, who gave them money. He expressed satisfaction that the entire case had diminished with the submission of a document, adding they had collected evidence from the documents, which the Sharif family had presented in the apex court.
PTI chairman said that Maryam Safdar declared in 2012 that she owned no property, whereas before their apartments in 1998, a protest demonstration was staged. “The real story is that from where money was arranged. They have lied. There should be action against them,” he emphasised.
Imran noted that the affidavit of Ishaq Dar was also available as a proof and one Kashif Masood had also informed about their money-laundering, whereas the documentary by BBC was also available. He claimed that today, in principle, the PML-N’s case fizzled out.
