Malacaang on Wednesday objected to China's move to name five undersea features within the exclusive economic zone (EEZ) of the Philippine Rise, also known as Benham Rise.
"We object and do not recognize the Chinese names given to some undersea features in the Philippine Rise," Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
Roque said that the Philippine embassy in Beijing already raised the concern with China.
