The Lagos State Police Command Wednesday arrested a Muslim cleric otherwise known as Alfa with human parts in the Alakuko area of the state.
The state Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi, who visited the apartment where the human parts were kept at Okeidumola Street, disclosed that the suspect, Kayode Abdulfatai, was arrested following reports from residents.
Attributing the arrest to the gains of community policing and safety partnership, he said the recovered human parts included a female private part, heart, kidney and lap, which were stored in a container mixed with a liquid substance.
When asked how the parts found their way into his apartment, Abdulfatai said they were given to him to keep by an Ifa priest whose identity he gave simply as Sadiq.
He said: Ifa Sadiq gave then to me. We intended to use it for money ritual for a client. A man brought the parts to Ifa, I don’t even know where the person lives.
“I have been an Alfa for 10 years but I have never prepared any money ritual concoction with human parts before, this is my first time.”
