Man dumped at roadside now admitted at Alimosho General Hospital

A man who has now been identified as Babatunde Adeola that was reportedly abandoned by the roadside at Cele bus stop, Egbeda area of Lagos, has now been admitted to Alimosho General hospital, Commissioner for Information, Steve Ayorinde, has said via an Instagram post.

He wrote, “Babatunde Adeola, the man abandoned yesterday (Tuesday) at Cele bus stop in Egbeda, has now been admitted at Alimosho General Hospital after the intervention of LASG.

“Although initial diagnosis revealed an infection of the brain cells due to heavy substance abuse, the man has been resuscitated and is responding well to treatment.

“Incidentally, Gov. Ambode has just visited the hospital as part of his inspection tours of health facilities across the state. He has been assured by the doctors that the patient is responding to treatment.

“Thanks to social media for making a good job of being the conscience of the society.”

Adeola was reported to have been dumped on the street on Tuesday with an intravenous drip attached to his hand at Cele Bus Stop, opposite Oando Filling Station, behind the Diamond Bank, Egbeda-Akowonjo area of Lagos state.
